My Hospital Bag

I have to be honest, I feel as though I have not over-prepared in any area of this pregnancy and my hospital bag is no exception.

Generally, I am a less-is-more kind of person. I stayed up watching endless youtube videos and reading other blogs about what they originally packed and what they ultimately used.

Most of the time, their follow up video or blog was advising you not to pack as much as you think. I have been told over and over that the hospital will have almost everything I will need. With the exception of my comfy clothes, of course.

This makes my minimal heart very happy and I don’t feel any stress worrying about what is in my bag.

Here is what my list looked like:

Me:
+ slippers
+ coming home outfit + shoes
+ undies
+ pajamas
+ robe
+ hair ties
+ face wipes
+ brush
+ lip balm
+ essential oil (I want to stay as calm as possible)
+ postpartum pads (only bringing 3), tucks & dermablast
+ long charger cords
+ breast pads

Baby:
+ 3 swaddles
+ 3 onesies
+ a coming home outfit
+ turban/bows
+ mittens

What I’m not bringing:

+ Diapers & wipes. I’ve been told the hospital will have these too. Will I regret it? We will see
+ All of my postpartum stuff. I am bringing the bare minimum since the hospital should help me in that department too. I’d rather use what they have and save the things I bought for home.

Baby:

Toiletries:

Jose did pack something to sleep in and his toothbrush. I am actually bringing throw-away toothbrushes for the hospital.
