Arrows & Awe

Brain dump.

That sounds disgusting.. doesn’t it?

Well, I randomly had this idea to sit down and share with you my exact vision of my blog. This probably won’t be perfect and will probably have a lot of back and forth thoughts, but I want to just get it out there.

I more or less want a post that I can look back at and say oh yeah.. that’s what I’m doing this for or.. that’s what I wanted this to look like.
Because, TBH I lose sight of my purpose on the regular.

So anyway, here we go.

Arrows & Awe is a space for me to share my ideas. I am a creative person by nature and feel the most fulfilled when I am being creative. Whether that’s through writing blogs, shooting images, creating concepts or editing. My blog has brought all those aspects together and has allowed me to creatively share beauty, wellness, home decor and my minimal lifestyle. I get to create new ways to share it with you guys, and overall find myself and my style (which has been the best part)  along the way.

Let me back up actually, I think for you to understand why finding myself is so important to me is to know where I come from with it.

I was the girl in school who hid in the back because I was too scared of what other people thought of me, I thought I could get through life with no one knowing who I was. I distinctly remember many times where I tried to let the real me show, but always got shut down by my own inner self-doubt.

I always knew I wanted to be creative, I just never knew how I wanted to showcase it or go about it.  I thought starting a blog would allow me to be behind the computer and not really be up in the fore front as I am – wow I was wrong.  Now,I am on this journey to find myself and my voice.

Arrows & Awe has brought me so far out of my comfort zone that it finally allowed me to really get to know myself, what my style is, what I like and don’t like & what seriously makes me happy.

Arrows & Awe = Following my arrow & living in awe.

I can confidently say I now know my style and am working toward being confident with it.

My vision for a & a is to hopefully capture my real life as it happens. I want to be able to share the every day raw moments and the candid moments with you guys – I think it’s way more relatable.  I also want to have specific aspects of my life that I share with you guys.

My exact vision for Arrows & Awe:

Home decor – even though I don’t share it as much as I want to, I plan to bring it to the top of my list. For two reasons – 1. it’s my favorite thing to shop for and 2. I’ll be on the hunt to buy a house this year!

Minimal style – but quality over quantity. I’m the girl in the jeans and converse and a cute tee – heels aren’t my first choice, but comfy sneakers and sandals are. I’m a beach bum at heart and less is more is kinda my motto – I’m a FL girl after all.. it’s hot!

Beauty – Skincare is my jam. In fact, as I write this I’m wearing the new Yes To Cucumbers Mask (so good!!). I want to branch out and do beauty videos and stuff, but you know, I’m super minimal when it comes to my makeup too. So, I’ll probably stick to skincare and minimal makeup looks.

Lifestyle – life with Jose, recipes and more. Some of my favorite bloggers share their life with their BF/Husband and I love those stories. I love seeing the dynamic between two people & how they share their lives together.

DIY – here and there. Small little fun projects and long walks around every aisle at the craft store is my idea of a great day.

Some of my fave DIY posts: photo tags & DIY Sugar Skull Party

Did you know:

I originally started as a DIY blogger? Yep. I was all into the DIY life before I decided that I wanted to showcase so much more of what I’m interested in.
