Happy New Year! I know I’m kind of late, but I took 7 days completely off.. from social media and my blog. It was so necessary. I often find myself with my head stuck in my phone and wasting precious time, so I deleted all my social media from my phone for 7 days to reset.
Anyway, 2018 is here and ain’t stopping for no one. I sat down and thought about a few things I hope to accomplish in 2018 – some small and some big.
And as usual, I create lists that are way too long:
New Year Goals 2018
Become Gut Healthy: I’m 99% sure that my self -diagnosed problem is Celiac Disease. But ya know, I just WebMD’d it… I experience pretty bad stomach pains after eating certain things and the only thing I could come up with is.. it’s gluten. I’m fighting it so hard.
I refuse to go “gluten free” because I don’t want to have to watch every little thing I eat. So I’m trying things out like drinking kombucha (probiotics) using Vital Proteins Collagen for extra probiotics, avoiding breads and drinking tons of ACV.
Probiotics are my go-to. They are the good bacteria your body needs to help support that healthy gut. I’m currently taking THESE.
But, you also need Prebiotics. Ugh.. so much to remember, right? Don’t worry you can eat things like bananas to get prebiotics and I just put it right into my smoothie every morning.
Collagen also provides major benefits for your stomach (along with skin, hair & Nails.. more on it later). & I’m all over the Dark Chocolate & Raspberry Collagen From Vital Proteins. I’ve been putting into my smoothie every morning. SO GOOD.
Have a consistent workout plan: Just started the Kayla Itsines BBG.. let’s see how this goes. So far, I haven’t missed a workout.
Go back to school: It’s been on my list for a really long time, so right here I’m speaking it into existence.
Finish Decorating my Condo: I have lived in my condo for about 4 years now and I have very very slowly decorated it. I want to put the finishing touches on it in 2018.
Learn to say no: This is huge.
I have a tendency off saying yes to everything. To the point where sometimes I have no time left for myself and then I feel burnt out the following days. I currently work a full-time job in addition to shooting, networking, writing, editing blah blah blah…
So, learning to say no and essentially force myself to get sh*t done instead of going out for fun will get my closer to my end goals.

Have a consistent Newsletter: I took a poll on Instagram and you guys voted to have a Newsletter out once a month. So, I am making it a goal to make that happen.
I plan to put out the posts that did the best through the month and other top secret info.
Become a Full-Time Blogger: AH. This terrifies me. Since I started blogging, I set 2018 as my goal to take it full-time. I won’t lie and say I’m not feeling the pressure, but ugh it lights a fire under my a$$.
Learn to Focus: I am scattered brain as scattered brain gets. But, I also hate having to take prescription medicine just to focus. I have been trying out vitamins like Rhodiola & Brain Dust by Moon Juice which actually contains Rhodiola – I just add a tsp to my morning coffee and go.
I’ll report on it later what I think of it.
I have also noticed that there are certain times you are just naturally more alert. For me, that is the morning time – so I’m using it to my advantage.
There you have it. The few things I want to accomplish in 2018. Some health goals, but some major life goals I except to hit in 2018. Expectations are high.. and I hope I don’t stress myself out trying to figure it out.
