Eat Fresh from Florida in the Winter Months

This post was sponsored by Fresh From Florida as part of an Influencer Activation for Influence Central, however all opinions expressed are my own.

One of my favorite things to do every Saturday is visit my local Farmer’s Market in Downtown Fort Pierce. It’s right on the water with tons of local vendors from farmers to artisans. It’s kind of a Saturday morning date for Jose and I. However,  my main reasons to visit them, specially during the winter months, is to get my Fresh From Florida products and and enjoy this amazing Florida “winter”.

I’m one of those lucky ones that gets to enjoy this Florida weather year-round. While most of the country is still experiencing the snow! I can only imagine that doesn’t make for a fun day at the Farmer’s Market!

I’m all for supporting local Florida Farmers – I love to pick up strawberries , grapefruit, Bell Peppers , and cauliflower with the Fresh from Florida label. The fresher the better, I always say – and you know they are the best when they are from local farms!

Fun Fact: Fresh From Florida’s Florida Produce Availability sheet says that Grapefruit aren’t in season in June, July & August! That is so crazy to learn because it’s always been a summer staple in my home.

Every Sunday Jose & I make a homemade Pizza. We pick up all local ingredients from the dough to the toppings. We love to cut  up fresh bell peppers and cook them right on top. Something about that crunchy texture on the top of your pizza! In fact, I’m going to bring you guys our recipe very soon!

When I’m not at the Farmer’s Market I’m getting my produce and food at the grocery store. Looking for that bright Fresh From Florida label makes it really easy to know you’re buying local goods!
