DIY Tootsie Roll Sugar Scrub + A Closer Shave

So you know when you shave your bod completely, get out of the shower and notice you can still feels those hairs? Yea, me too. I bring you a to die for DIY sugar scrub and tips to a closer, longer lasting shave.DIY I dubbed this scrub the Tootsie Roll Sugar Scrub because it LITERALLY smells like a Tootsie roll, and I am completely ok with it.

The best part is you probably have all of the ingredients needed for this bad boy -just refrain from eating it ;]
(I only licked it once)!

How to get a closer, longer lasting shave ::

1. Choose your razor

Make sure you use a high quality razor like the new Gillette Venus Swirl razor! It has 5 contour blades and the Flexiball to fit your curves perfectly. This is the first razor I am actually not afraid to glide over my boney knees.

2. Exfoliate

Prep your body for the shave. Use something like the DIY Sugar Scrub to exfoliate, getting rid of the layer of dead skin.

3. Open your pores

Don’t let shaving be the first thing you do in this shower. Wash your hair, sing a song, exfoliate before shaving. The warm water will work to open your pores bringing your hair further out of the follicles.

4. Shave

Do the dirty deed.

I think most of us ladies have this problem. I can’t wait to try it. I bet it makes the skin so smooth. Do you know if this will help men shaving their faces?

Sounds yummy. I make something similar with these ingredients, but orange oil instead of cocoa powder. It does leave my skin feeling wonderful. Coconut oil is wonderful stuff and the sugar part of the scrub is great for getting the dead skin off.

I never in a million years would have thought of this as a shaving “cream”. It sounds great though and I’ll have to give it a try. I think we still have some tootsie rolls left from Halloween…LOL!
