How to Survive a Busy Week

How To Survive a Busy Week

Is it just me or do these days turn into weeks and weeks into  months? Seriously, I fill my schedule up so much that time escapes me. Thankfully, something came over me recently, which made me realize I need to really slow down and take care of myself between all the chaos.

My days sometimes start at 6am, head out to the gym  before an 8 hour work day at the bank. I’ve got about a 40 minutes commute back home where I start working on my blog until about 10. For me, it can be a lot to keep up with and stresses me out easily. It had me thinking, I’ve developed a few way that helped me get through these crazy busy weeks.

How to Survive a Busy Week:

vitamins:

vitamins have become part of my daily routine. I love the way they make me feel and knowing the benefits they provide. I recently added Rhodiola to my arsenal. It’s known to really help you calm down and not feel so stressed. I’ve added it to my monthly subscription of Care/of , but I’ve also purchased it by the bottle.

exercise:

I feel like this is a no brainer, but exercise can leave you smiling all day. Even when you’re feeling stressed, get up and exercise. A little something you might not know about me: I have taken anxiety medicine for a few years. I recently decided I didn’t want to take them any more, I didn’t want to be dependant on them. So, I’ve opted for consistent exercise to help me through those bouts of anxiety. For the moments inbetween, I use my Stress Away essential oil.

essential oils:

Essential oils quickly earned a spot in my life. I kept seeing them and decided to give in to the hype (so happy I did). I use them for sleeping, cleaning the air, relaxing, and reducing anxiety. I guess you can call them my security blanket.

I use Lavendar to sleep, Stress Away & Valor II for anxiety.

wine:

when all else fails, I grab my red wine. Sometimes it get so overhwleming and my mind doesn’t stop racing. This is when wine comes handy.

I can relate to this more than I’d like to admit! I work 8-9 hours at work each day, come home and put an hour or two into my blog. I’m trying to figure out a better way to schedule my day but it has been difficult. I have also taken anti anxiety meds and have been looking for more holistic ways of treating stress and anxiety. I got a gym membership and that has been helpful! I’m also taking my dog for more walks. My husband and I like to walk him together and it is a nice way to decompress.

I seriously need to step up on my vitamins and exercise which is probably why I’ve been so tired and unmotivated lately. I love essential oils, especially lavebdar which helps me sleep. These are such simple things that we all could be incorporating in our lives to keep ups alert. By the way, I think that’s so cool the way you have links to what you’re wearing in your photos!

These are seriously all the same things I do for a busy week! I rock some vitamins in a loaded smoothie every AM, calm down with essential oils at night, and work out mid day to keep my blood pumping. You’re covering everything and I love it!

And, naturally, wine. Wine fixes everything.

I love these tips. Working full-time and blogging is so hard (not gonna lie)! I also exercise, but maybe choose the wine a little bit more often…lol. This top is perfect, and I have these shorts too! Have a great rest of the week!
